Congratulations! It is an excellent article. It’s backed up by indisputable facts, and written by someone that participated in those events.

Without having all the information you include many of us admire President Biden for regaining the US leadership and rebuilding alliances lost during President Trump‘s administration.

I too am a big fan of President Biden. I agree he's doing a great job in regards to Ukraine.

I remained truly puzzled as to why Putin didn't make his move in to Ukraine while Trump was president. That may have been his biggest mistake in the Ukraine war.

As much as I like Biden, I do have a serious complaint. It's not with Biden in particular as much as it is with close to all of our cultural elites, including the President.

Nuclear weapons are the biggest threat to the survival of America. The amount of attention they receive seems ridiculously small in comparison to the scale of the threat.

As evidence, watch what happens in the coming presidential election season. Observe how, even when we are selecting a single human being to have sole authority over the use of these civilization ending weapons, the topic only barely comes up. I mean this literally, this is truly a case of mass insanity.

I'm sorry to say I can't recall President Biden even mentioning nuclear disarmament. Yes, the START treaty, but that is largely meaningless, as it still allows for massive overkill.

I will definitely vote for Biden again, despite some concern about his age. But I will also be disappointed again if he continues to assume that nuclear weapons are just one of a thousand issues requiring his attention.

When one has a loaded gun in one's mouth, the gun is THE PRIORITY. It's the simplest possible logic, which seems to escape nearly our entire culture, to the very highest levels.

Thank you Mike. Excellent over view, and one I hope to share with people who may not know or realize all that you have identified here. I have for some time shared your view of Biden as expressed here, but you have given meat to the bones of my partially educated intuitive grasp of these things. Thank you so much. Your voice is one of hope for me as we face this formidable situation amongst all the other issues confronting us and our country during these trying times.

Thank you for pulling this all together. I have been deeply impressed by the Biden Administration's handling of Ukraine from the start of Russia's unjustified, arrogant and tragic invasion of Ukraine. Sadly, no one in the "mainstream media" seems capable of writing as comprehensive a piece as this one. Or, perhaps those who are capable and not permitted to do so. In any case, I plan to share this piece widely in the hope that more of my fellow Democrats will come to understand and appreicate these remarkable achievements of Biden and team.

Good points. Has the drip feeding of support also had a negative effect in that it allows Russia to continue its slow, devastating attacks and obliteration of Ukrainian cities? And what kind of escalation do we all mean in these contexts---this is one aspect of the war that I don't understand fully, unless everyone means nukes but doesn't say it. Because all of the war crimes they've committed thus far feel like escalation, but I am probably missing a part of the puzzle. These are genuine questions, not arguments about what you wrote.

Thanks for the response. Along with what you wrote, I was wondering whether there was another element I had missed, as I feel like the word escalation is becoming muddled worldwide. The Germans seem to have a different definition than other NATO countries, but maybe it simply means different things to different leaders.
