He's doing it wrong only if his aim isn't to advance Russian interests. I suspect that, from his traitorous perspective, he is doing it exactly right.

Ask yourself: if Trump were a Russian agent, what more could he do to damage the US and benefit Putin? At some point we must apply Occam's razor. The simplest answer is usually the correct one.

Things have already changed since you wrote this, and the extortion campaign just got much worse. What now? News reports now say Zelenskyy will sign the minerals deal. We all know that strongmen like Putin and Trump just get worse when people capitulate. How can this possibly be good if Z gets no security deal and/or return of weapons flow? Would love to hear your thoughts (here, Twitter, wherever). Thanks.

Trump is transactional; he is not going to offer something without a quid pro quo . What do you think Trump wants of Putin?

Thus far, Putin has offered nothing at all to Trump in return. Yet another reason all of these "negotiations" are such a farce. However, who knows what Putin has offered behind the scenes? Money, lucrative business deals?

I pray Zelenskyy reads Ambassador McFaul’s piece, though I suspect he already knows this. I wish he wouldn’t submit to extortion. If the US wants access to Ukraine’s minerals, negotiate a business like win win for both parties. Mutual respect.

I am so FED UP with trump/vance/MAGA might makes right. Would that Zelenskyy walk away and f%#k trump et al. Europe has got to step up to the plate!

President Zelenskyy shouldn't agree to a mineral deal or peace negotiations until he gets a firm answer to the question, "What is Putin going giving up?"
